Importance of Professional Meth Testing 

According to the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, nearly 70 per cent of clandestine labs detected in Australia are inside, or adjacent to, domestic dwellings.  

If a property is suspected of previously being used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, it’s important to test for meth contamination due to health and financial reasons.  

Health issues caused by meth residue inside a property include skin irritation, eye irritation, headaches, and respiratory problems. It has also been linked to behaviour problems and sleep changes in children.  

If levels are high enough, meth decontamination will be needed. It can be an expensive process as you may be required to remove and replace household items like carpets, curtains or blinds, wall linings, air conditioning systems and ceilings.
